Members are asked to abide by the following club rules:
- CMEC is a family-friendly club, and as such, language should be kept child-friendly.
- We have a good brand and need to keep it that way for everyone.
- Constant bad or foul language could result in your membership being revoked and you being banned from the club.
- Behaviour: We expect people to treat everyone with respect.
- At events and shows, it can get a little crowded. As such, some may get a little fidgety.
- Please take a step back, get some fresh air and re-compose. We are a responsible group; if you have a difference with someone, it can be sorted out in a manner that suits everyone.
- Attending shows is part of the family culture in car clubs; the same can be said when we hold social events.
- As part of our sustained efforts to ensure we all stay safe, any vehicle being driven to and displayed or used on the club stand MUST have TAX, MOT, and insurance. Tax and MOT-exempt vehicles should have records with the DVLA kept updated.
- Vehicles on the club stand at shows and events. Please, we are a static display, so please keep engines off.
- Unless you have been called to attend an arena area or if at a track day event, you are due to make your way to the pits for the start of your track time.
- No Revving of engines will be tolerated; there is no need, no point, and it doesn’t impress anyone.
- Travelling to and from shows and or social events.
- If we are travelling as a group, then we stay where possible as a group, not for any other reason than if one breaks down, then they are not left behind.
- Some of our club cars are fitted with CB radios. These members usually head and tail a convoy so that we know if we have a problem in the line. We pride ourselves on setting an example, so please keep to the speed limits and stay safe.
- Sense of humour, well, this is mandatory and a benefit. Our aim is for everyone to enjoy themselves.
Our rules are here to support the club.
